What more could you possibly want from a tiger safari vacation that expertly combines warm Indian hospitality, culture, and abundant wildlife experiences? Previously the Maharaja’s hunting grounds, Ranthambore National Park is now a popular wildlife destination for travellers from all over the world. The Golden Triangle, where it is conveniently located, is the ideal place to combine your cultural and heritage trip of India with breathtaking views of the country’s wildlife.
The terrain itself is very fascinating because it has a number of sizable lakes that sustain the local fauna, Savannah grasslands that serve as a source of food, and prime locations for giant Ungulates to hunt. The Park was once used as a hunting area by the Maharajas of Jaipur, and the area’s historic forts and outposts contribute to its allure.

Ranthambore is a 400 sq. km. park that is home to rocky hill crests that fall to open valleys between the Aravalli and Vindhya mountains. This park derives its name from the 1,000-year-old castle that is perched on a summit above the forest. Ranthambore, well-known for the tiger’s nocturnal activity, is a unique place where the natural present and the historical past collide. In these areas, the most common animals include langur, sambar, cheetal, chinkara, and nilgai. This reserve is home to the elusive leopard and tigers, and visitors have a very excellent chance of sighting tigers up close while on safari.
With over 300 species present, Ranthambore also has a diverse range of birds. In reality, Ranthambore and the surrounding surroundings are a bird watcher’s heaven. The Great Cormorant, Painted Spurfowl, Sarus Crane, Bronzed Winged Jacana, Sandpipers, Kingfishers, Nightjars, Painted Sandgrouse, Indian Eagle Owl, and many other winter migrants that arrive from their nesting area north of the Himalayas are just a few interesting permanent bird species.

FAQs on Tiger Safari Holidays
Tiger Safaris’ park hours in India are determined by the times of sunrise and sunset during various months. During the summer, the morning safari typically starts at 6 am and lasts for 4-5 hours, and the afternoon safari lasts until about 3.30 pm and lasts for approximately 3 hours. In the winter, morning safaris start about 6.45 am and last for around 4-5 hours, while afternoon safaris start at 2.30 pm and last for about 3 hours.
The average price of a tiger safari in India mainly varies on the parks you visit, how many days you decide to travel, how many people you prefer to travel with, whether you stay in 3 or 4-5 star accommodations, take private or shared vehicle safaris, and other factors.
It is safe to stay inside the national park while on your Indian tiger safari. However, one must be informed that it is completely forbidden to wander aimlessly outside your room after sundown. Any type of wildlife that you come across could be deadly. These regulations are more strictly observed if you stay in a rest house, such as the Dhikala Forest Rest House in Corbett National Park, but less so in lodges that are a little farther from the main boundary of the jungle.
